Thiruvananthapuram: A study conducted by centre for development studies and Kerala Research Programme on local level development entitled ‘Alienation, degradation and enslavement of tribal women in Attapapdy reveals that displacement for development projects has deprived tribes folk of their land and forests from which much of their food came.
